Monday Night Showdown!

The Broncos go on the road to take on a desperate Bills team on Primetime! The 3-5 Broncos have a chance to make up for the early season miscues and a win here will put them in prime position to make a run at the playoffs. The Bills on the other hand started the season 3-1 including a 48-20 beat down over the Dolphins. However, they haven't played elite football in a month and are now 5-4. Their 2 wins since were a 14-9 win vs the Tyrod Taylor-led Giants and a 24-18 vs the Bucs who are currently on a 4-game losing streak. Here's how the Broncos can capitalize.

The Broncos need to continue to run the ball. Javonte Williams the last 2 weeks has looked more and more like his old self and had 194 total scrimmage yards and got into the endzone for the first time. The Bills rank 18th vs the run in yards per game giving up 114.4. The less the Bills' offense takes the field, the better and the Broncos need to follow a similar formula to what they did vs KC and control time of possession giving their defense rest which allows them to make plays when they are on the field.

PS2 vs Diggs is going to be a fun matchup to watch. Diggs has probably been the one consistent part of the team as he has been lighting it up by posting 834 yards and 7 TDs in 9 games so far this season. Surtain had some struggles early on but has zeroed in the last couple of weeks. The Broncos' defense from weeks 6-8 has been dominant just allowing 15 ppg and forcing 7 turnovers. Most of them came in the recent game vs the Chiefs. The Broncos' defense overall still ranks last in a lot of categories mainly because of the Dolphins game that I promise I will never bring up again. Josh Allen is a great, young dynamic QB but he has been a turnover machine all year and has thrown at least one interception in his last 5 games. The Broncos need to be opportunistic force the Bills into multiple turnovers and give their offense a short field.

Speaking of offense I want to see Russell Wilson be more decisive in his decision-making. He has been light years better than what he was a year ago as he already has 16 TDs matching his season total last year but he has taken far too many sacks and the offensive line cannot be blamed for that because they are 11th overall according to pro football focus but Russ is still the 3rd most sacked QB in the league. He has been good but I would like to see him process the field a little more quickly and get the ball to his dynamic playmakers like Jeudy and Mims.

Also, I am not ready to see Von be on the opposite side of a Broncos game. It is going to be weird rooting against him for 3 hours. Let's hope he doesn't wreck our entire offensive game plan.

I have a good feeling about this game and believe the Broncos continue to rise the momentum out of the bye week beating the Bills on Monday Night Football with a score of 24-17.
