The Broncos officially started their season in Arizona vs the Cardinals. The Broncos lost 17-18 in the final seconds of the game. To me, the loss doesn't matter I want to focus more on the how the starting offense. The offense sputtered the first 3 drives and looked very leaky. The offensive line looked very shaky and it worries me to see that. After making significant changes in the O-line over the offseason, it was still a glaring weakness on the offense. Hopefully, it results from rustiness and hopefully, we will see a better performance next week. Russell Wilson did not look too good in this game either. He was holding the ball too long, missed some targets, and made some of the same mistakes he did last year. So the first 3 drives did not go as planned. However, despite saying the starters are playing only 15 snaps, he kept them in deep into the second quarter. I loved this move!! After the year the offense had last year, it was imperative that they build some confidence. On the 4th drive, the Broncos scored off a Russ to Jeudy pass vs cover 0. Even though it is only preseason, they need to build some confidence going into the regular season. So hats off to Sean Payton for that. Now onto the kickers. Brett Maher and Elliot Fry both missed field goals. So that's not a very good sign. Hopefully, they shake off the rust and play better next week. Go Broncos!
