Been a while since I have posted but I see that win vs Chicago meant nothing. The offense looked atrocious in back-to-back games vs the Jets and Chiefs. They have now lost 16 straight games vs the Chiefs. 16!!! As soon as the defense started putting things together, the offense sputtered. It feels like this team cannot be good on both sides of the ball at the same time. This team is just a mess right now. Russell Wilson, after initial signs of improvement at the beginning of the season, reverted to his 2022 form against two viable defenses. He was paid the big bucks to beat good defenses not just pile on the bad ones. Jeudy and Sutton have done him no favors. Looking at some of the camera angles from the QB POV, there was no separation at all. I also do not understand why Marvin Mims only played 29% of the snaps. The Broncos had only 2 receivers running routes so many times throughout the game. It just makes no sense. This team has no identity on offense. The run game was working yesterday averaging around 5 yards per carry and decided to abandon it for some reason. Sean Payton made some questionable decisions like calling a timeout with 20 seconds left in the half after Russ got sacked on 3rd down. I tip my cap to VJ and that defense. They faced a lot of scrutiny early on this season and rightly so but they came to play in primetime at Arrowhead vs the defending champs. This game was for the taking but this team just does not know how to win. The team is now 1-5 and once again Broncos media and fans are looking toward the draft in mid-October. I'm sick of it! I'm sick of losing to KC. Something needs to change and something tells me there will be a lot of them coming around the trade deadline.
