The Broncos are one more loss in a row away from possibly firing Hackett and even trading Bradley Chubb. Yes, there were reports that if the Broncos lose in London to the Jags, the Broncos could trade Chubb next Tuesday. It is crazy to think how excited we were as fans and 7 weeks into the season we may see major midseason changes due to poor play. The very high expectations that were placed on this team throughout the offseason and in the preseason makes this 2-5 start very painful. Here is our record the last 5 seasons after 7 games. 2017: 3-4; 2018: 3-4; 2019: 2-5; 2020: 3-4; 2021: 3-4; The difference between those years and this year, expectations. The past 5-6 years have been tough but this is the most impatient I have seen Broncos fans in a season that has not even reached the midway point and they certainly have every right to be impatient. This team had championship aspirations and was poised to be a team that would contend atop the AFC west along Buffalo and KC. Instead, this team has lost to very middling to average teams week in and week out. Many fans are turning the page to 2023 already which I loathe. I am getting tired of looking forward to next year before Halloween even hits. Every year around this time of year us fans start fantasizing about how good this team will be next year with a healthy squad. I'm sick of it. The Broncos still have 10 games to get their act together and make something out of this season. 2-5 is a tough start but in no means does it mean its over. If KC can win 10 straight after starting 1-5 in 2015 with Alex Smith then this team can certainly string together some wins. It's time to go in to London and take care of business and really do some house cleaning during the bye and get ready for one hell of a second half to the season. Go Broncos!
