So as we all know, Russ has been benched for the season and Jarrett Stidham will now be starting the final 2 games as Sean Payton believes that is the best option for this team. Personally, I believe benching Russ is fine but the way they handled the whole situation is absolutely classesless assuming the reports are accurate.
Apperantly after the Broncos finally beat the Chiefs in week 8, Russ stated that they threatened to bench him if he didn't remove the injury guarantee from his contract. I don't know if this is true or not but if it is it's not a good look for the team. Once again, I am more than ok that he is benched for the season because the offense has been very bad in stretches with him being the QB but there are different ways to tell a QB that he is benched and the way they went about it is unprofessional assuming the reports are true. If they aren't true then Russ and his PR team are very good liars and that PR team deserves a raise. Either way this whole thing is a mess!
I totally disagree with this article. can you please explain how else should the Broncos have handled this situation . I don’t think Broncos organization is classless. A true broncos fan would never call the organization classless if they are in sane mind .
As a matter of fact , I appreciate broncos organization for looking into the future rather than wasting their money on a player who does high knees even while sleeping.
