Seems like all Broncos fans are turning the page to next season and are looking forward to potentially drafting Caleb Williams if the team does get the number 1 overall pick. I hate that mindset from fans with a passion. We wait 7-8 months a year to watch our favorite football team. At least ride it out until the team is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Yes, it is frustrating and I, myself, have been very critical of the team in my recent posts but that doesn't mean I still don't want them to win. 1-5 is not the start all of Broncos Country envisioned but it isn't insurmountable. We can go back 8 years and look at the 2015 Chiefs. They started 1-5 and went on to win 10 straight to end the season. The 2017 Chargers started 0-4 and ended 9-7 though they did barely just miss the playoffs. Crazy stuff happens all the time in the NFL. So seeing fans give up after 6 games is frustrating. This team still has Russell Wilson, Sean Payton, Jerry Jeudy, Court Sutton, Javonte Williams, Justin Simmons, and Patrick Surtian. There is still a lot of talent on the team. And yes we may see some players leave at the trade deadline but as of right now we still have all those players and the trade deadline is only on Oct. 31st. But you know what? A win vs Green Bay this Sunday and a win vs KC the Sunday after could change the trajectory of this season alone. Maybe it prevents the Broncos from being sellers at the deadline. A 3-5 record heading into the bye and some momentum would not be the worst thing in the world. So before we want to blow it up and say Russell Wilson is the next Paxton Lynch. I'm not going to lie after the game vs KC I was very hard on Russ and made some bold claims like saying he is the worst QB we have had in a long time and we should blow up the team. So it is understandable that raw emotions get the best of us, especially after a tough loss like last Thursday but after we gather ourselves, let's have some faith and see how it plays out.
